Appointed Unto His Kingdom

Luke 22:28: Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. 29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; 30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

I love the many ways the Bible describes and defines what it is to become a child of God. I love the word appointed. The Apostles were appointed to continue with Jesus in His temptations, they were appointed unto His kingdom, they were appointed to the unspeakable privilege of eating and drinking at Jesus* table in His kingdom and they were appointed to sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. As present-day believers, we are not appointed to everything the Apostles were, but we are appointed to some wonderful things. We were not appointed to continue with Jesus as He walked on earth, but we are appointed to continue with Him and follow Him as we walk on earth. We are appointed to the same Kingdom that Jesus was and we are not appointed to judge the twelve tribes of Israel. When we receive Jesus we are appointed unto a Kingdom.

Luke 12:32: Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father*s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Matthew 8:11: And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

Luke 14:15: And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

Luke 17:21: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Ephesians 3:17: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Revelation 17:14: These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

When we receive Jesus we have the Lord of lords and the King of kings dwelling in our hearts. Have you received Jesus? Has His Kingdom been appointed unto you? And have you been appointed to His Kingdom? Are you one of the called and chosen and faithful?
