Are You In Your Right Mind

James 1:8: A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Titus 1:15: Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

Before I received Jesus I did a lot of wrong thinking and since I received Him I do more right thinking. There are Biblical reasons for that. Jesus changes our hearts instantly when we receive Him. But He takes more time about changing our minds. Hopefully, we learn some things between kindergarten and whatever level of education we attain to. Dropouts stop the process. It works that way with Christians too. Commitment to serving the Lord is the classroom and the Bible is the textbook. If we drop out of either, we stop the process.

Proverbs 16:3: Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

2 Timothy 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Have you ever been asked the question: Are you out of your mind? Before I was saved Christians thought I was out of my mind and since I have been saved unbelievers think I am out of my mind. According to the Bible, believers are the ones that are in their right minds, because of God*s impact on their hearts AND minds.

Philippians 4:7: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Mark 5:15: And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

2 Timothy 1:7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Romans 12:1-2: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Philemon 1:14a: But without thy mind would I do nothing; . . .

2 Corinthians 10:5: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

2 Peter 3:1: This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

Proverbs 9:10: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Receiving Christ is like a mind-stretcher or a mind-opener. He gives our minds abilities they never had before. He gives us the ability to know Him and agree with Him. Sound minds, right minds, renewed minds, obedient minds, submissive minds, pure minds, informed minds, understanding minds and wise minds are made possible by Him. It is abundantly obvious that unbelievers the world over have closed their minds to everything that Christians believe and know.
