Dysfunctional Christians

Psalms 113:3: From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD*S name is to be praised.

The Lord deserves our round-the-clock praise. The closer we can get to giving Him what He deserves the better off WE will be.

Having Christ in our hearts but not in the center our thoughts and on the throne of our lives makes us dysfunctional. When our hearts want to go one way and our mind and our will want to go other ways we get no place. It is abnormal. It is an unhappy state. It is unfulfilling and unsatisfying. It is not God*s will. If that is the condition you are in part of the time, you will be sinning and miserable part of the time. If it is the condition you are in all of the time, you will be sinning and miserable all of the time. The more time you spend having Him in your thoughts and in charge of your life, the more you will be what God wants you to be and the more you will enjoy being a Christian.

Ephesians 3:17a: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; . . .

Proverbs 4:23: Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Mark 7:21-23: For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Luke 6:45: A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Matthew 16:25: For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
