God The Revealer

Deuteronomy 29:29: The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

God tells us what we need to know when we need to know it. There are some things that we never need to know. There are some things we only need to know after we get to Heaven. And there are things we need to know here and now. He knows what they are and when we need to know them. He also knows what we are capable of learning and He spoon-feeds it to us a little at a time. When we do our best to hear and obey Him, He keeps us from pitfalls that we might fall into because of what we do not know.

Isaiah 28:13: But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

He knows when we need to go forward and He knows when we need to be broken. He knows what we will forget and He knows when to remind us of that. When we act on the first thing He tells us He gives the next step. When we fail to act on some truth that He has revealed to us, it may be quite some time before He reveals the next step to us. We can only take one step at a time and we can only obey Him one step at a time. When there is something that He has not revealed to us, either we don*t need to know it or we have not acted upon His last instruction and we are not yet in the place where we need the next instruction. When we fail to obey Him, He might take us on a detour in which we need to have several instructions instead of just one in order to get back into His will. When we fail to obey Him, we make our own lives more difficult.

Think about this. If He wants us to obey Him, He must give us the instruction we need. He wouldn*t be much of a God if He didn*t. And when we don*t obey Him, we aren*t much of a Christian. When there is something amiss between us and Him, it is NEVER His fault. He is the God who provides. He provides everything we need, including instruction. The problem is that we reject it or disobey it. Sometimes we pretend that He hasn*t told us what to do.

Jeremiah 33:6: Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

Job 33:14-17: For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; 16 Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, 17 That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

Proverbs 16:3: Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

The first thing He tells us is that we need to receive Jesus and Commit ourselves to His leadership. THEN He gives us the next instructions. He is the God who reveals.

Daniel 2:28-29: But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these; 29 As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.

Amos 3:7: Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Hmmm. He reveals his secret unto his servants. If we are not serving Him, much truth will be unavailable to us.

John 8:32: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 17:17: Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

When we reject the truth that He reveals to us, we will be enslaved by falsehood.
