Good Pleasure For Us
Luke 12:32: Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father*s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Ephesians 3:17-19: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
When we are filled with all the fullness of God it will be our good pleasure to give. It is your Father*s good pleasure to give. If we have Jesus dwelling in our hearts, like Him, it will be our good pleasure to give too. Our greatest need is to be given the kingdom and God gives it. When we are like Him, we will give others what they need. We will encourage them to receive the King and His Kingdom. God gives us the less important material things that we need and we will give others the material things they need. God gave us an opportunity to receive the most important thing, the Kingdom, and we will give others the opportunity to receive the Kingdom. It will be our good pleasure to be a little like Him and give like Him. Christians are to be takers from God and givers to others.
Acts 20:35: I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
It is blessed for us to receive from God, to give what God has given us and it is blessed to labour and give what we have laboured for.
Ephesians 4:28: Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
Colossians 3:1: If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Psalms 16:11: Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Jesus sits at the right hand of God. He has always been at the right hand of God. When He is in our hearts, we will always be at the right hand of God too. There are pleasures there. Are you there? Are you experiencing those evermore pleasures? Evermore includes now you know.
Philippians 2:13: For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Are you permitting Him to work His will in you? Do you have pleasure in His will? Are you generous or stingy? Do you take from God or do you take from others?
Ephesians 1:5, 9: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
We have a natural need to please our earthly parents. When we do not please them life can stink. We have a spiritual need to please our Heavenly Father more than ourselves. When we do not please Him life can REALLY stink.
