Hard Pills To Swallow
Have you ever needed pills that were hard to swallow? I*ve had some of those. I had faith to know they were going to help me so I found a way to choke them down. Sometimes God*s will is hard for us to swallow. But it is good for us. The sooner we swallow it, the sooner it will bless us. Sometimes He wants us to swallow it whole and other times we can*t handle that so He wants us to swallow it a little at a time. Doctors can be helpful when we are dealing with germs, viruses, deficiencies and excesses but only God has the cure for sin. He has the perfect dosage for that.
Revelation 10:9: And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
God knows what will do us good. Sometimes the good thing will be something sweet and sometimes it will be something bitter.
Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
All things includes the sweet things from God and the bitter things from God. All things includes the bitter things God permits Satan and others to bring into our lives. Satan means them for evil and others might mean them for evil as well, but God means them for our good.
Genesis 50:20: But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
Sometimes medication clears up an infectious illness that we might pass on to others. Taking our bitter pills can benefit others as well as us. When Jesus died on that cross He swallowed a bitter pill on our behalf. He suffered separation from The Father so that we don*t have to. It was a pill that we deserved. God transplanted our sin unto Jesus when He suffered on the cross and when we receive Him into our hearts, He transplants His righteousness into us. The bitter pills that we swallow for Him cannot be compared with the one He swallowed for us.
2 Corinthians 5:21: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
