His Workmanship

Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Philippians 2:12-13: Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Philippians 1:6: Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Becoming God*s workmanship is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I trust that you have become His workmanship and know that it is the best thing that ever happened to you too. He does some work on us as He prepares us to receive Jesus but we didn*t really know what He was doing then and it made little difference to us. When we begin to know in a powerful way that we are His workmanship is the moment we receive Jesus into our hearts.

Many individuals who have received Jesus and become His workmanship are not confident that they are. That happens when individuals receive Jesus but their flesh fights against His will for their lives. They do not want their lives to be His workmanship. That is very foolish. They do not study the Bible. They do not permit the Bible to effectually work in them. If they study the Bible and obey it, it will not fail to get them into God*s will and plan. When we receive Jesus, our hearts become His workmanship. When we study the Bible and obey it our lives become the Bible*s workmanship.

1 Thessalonians 2:13: For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

Isaiah 55:11: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Psalms 119:11: Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Psalms 119:105: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

When I study my Bible and obey it, God*s will gets done in my life. When I put the Bible on the back burner, my life is not always the workmanship of God. When I am wise I want my life to be His workmanship. When my life is His workmanship, when I see Him at work in my life, it gives me double assurance that I am His workmanship.

Romans 6:4: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Galatians 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
