How To Have Sweet Sleep
Ecclesiastes 5:12: The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.
Work will help. Too many riches will not.
Psalms 127:2: It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
Being one of His beloved and knowing He loves you will help.
Psalms 4:8: I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
Romans 15:33: Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
Living in safety from the God of Peace will help.
Romans 5:1: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Isaiah 9:6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Having peace with the Father through the Prince of Peace will help.
Proverbs 3:21: My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: 22 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. 23 Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. 24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. 25 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. 26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
Wisdom and discretion will help.
Leviticus 26:3: If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; 4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. 5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. 6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
Obeying the Lord will help.
Proverbs 4:16: For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
Planning to love and bless others rather than to harm them will help.
Psalms 36:4: He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.
Those who plan evil instead of hating it will not rest well.
Isaiah 57:20: But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
Micah 2:1: Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.
Job 35:10: But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
