Jude 1:15: To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. John 6:38: For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. John 9:4: I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. What is the difference between an ungodly person and one who is being conformed to the image of Jesus? For one thing, one who is being conformed to the image of Jesus will know that he must work the works of God his Father. Some believe that being conformed to the image of Jesus is only for some future time. It will be perfected only when He takes us to glory. But it is a process that must begin here on earth. Jesus did the works of His Father here on earth and we must. Luke 18:28: Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. 29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God*s sake, 30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting. John 12:25: He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. 1 Corinthians 15:19: If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. Titus 2:11: For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Luke 1:74: That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, 75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. Romans 6:19: I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. 1Peter 4:1: Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. Have you received His will for your life? At least sometimes? Do you ever get out of the will of your flesh into the will of God? If not, you have not received His fullness. Ephesians 3:17: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. |
