Instruction In Righteousness

Do you want instruction in righteousness and where do you get it?

2 Timothy 3:16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Is the Bible your source of instruction? Do you get instruction directly from the Bible or from some indirect source? Does your source get it from the Bible? Does your source agree with the Bible? Does your source omit parts of the Bible? Does your source misinterpret some of it? Does your source mix falsehood in with truth? Does your source live according to Biblical instruction? Is your source filled with the Spirit? We need to be very discerning about our sources of instruction. Do you study the Bible for yourself to know if your source is accurate? There can be many sources of Biblical instruction but there is only one Bible. Some indirect sources may be helpful. A Biblical church, a Biblical Pastor, teachers, friends, mentors and examples, your parents if they know the Bible, your conscience if you know the Bible, your meditation if you know the Bible, etc. Our instruction in righteousness MUST have the Bible as its first and only original source. And no source will be any help whatsoever to you if you have not received Jesus and do not have the Holy Spirit living in you.
