My Heart Is Fixed

How about yours?

Psalms 57:7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. 108:1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

FBN: Fixed; settled on the foundation of the everlasting covenant; determined, in the strength and by the grace of God, to trust in and praise him.

PLWL: My heart also is ready, O God, my heart is prepared, and firmly resolved to pay thee the vows which I made in my distress; my songs shall be of thee; and, with all the joy I can express, I will set forth thy praise. My heart is ready, O most gracious God; it is firmly resolved to give thee most solemn thanks: my tongue also, wherewith I ought to glorify thee, shall sing of thy goodness; and, with all the expressions of joy, set forth thy praise.

Treasury Of David: O God, my heart is fixed. I am resolved to trust thee, to serve thee, and to praise thee. Twice does he declare this to the glory of God who thus comforts the souls of his servants. Reader, it is surely well with thee, if thy once roving heart is now firmly fixed upon God and the proclamation of his glory.

GBN: This earnest affection declares that he is free from hypocrisy and that sluggishness does not stop him.

Acts 15:8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

Jeremiah 24:7 And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.
