2 Timothy 3:12: Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Matthew 5:11: Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Are you suffering some persecution? If you are not, you are not living Godly in Christ Jesus and you have not experienced the blessedness of it.
Hebrews 4:16: Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Times of persecution are great times of need for grace. When I have heard of the persecution of others I often believe that I could not handle it. But when minor persecution has happened to me there has always been grace to help. We in America are unaware of the extent of persecution of Christians around the world today. It is growing even in America. If you are unaware of it, it will be an eye-opener for you to go to the website www.persecution.com. You may find several informative websites by copying and pasting it into the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) on your home page.
The struggles in America today are not just Democrats struggling against Republicans and liberals struggling against conservatives. The struggles are more importantly between good and evil and between God and Satan. The Bible teaches the difference between good and evil. The more the Bible is rejected, the more evil prevails.
The vast majority of individuals in the world are on the losing side.
Matthew 7:13-14: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
It may often appear that the losers are winning, but the most important victory is to spend eternity in Heaven. That victory is won the moment we receive Jesus, and it continues for the rest of our lives, whether we live long lives or short ones and whether or not we suffer persecution.
Romans 8:18: For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
