Pleasures For Evermore

Have you ever heard this expression? I have some good news and some bad news. First I*ll give you the good news. Whenever I have heard that, the bad news was always worse than the good news. But if we are children of God, the good news is infinitely better and lasts immeasurably longer. The best of the good news will last forever but many of God*s blessings can be enjoyed here and now.

Psalms 16:11: Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalms 36:7: How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. 8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

Psalms 84:10: For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Matthew 5:11: Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Luke 18:29: And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God*s sake, 30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

Acts 14:21: And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, 22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

2 Timothy 3:12: Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Hebrews 11:24: By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh*s daughter; 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

Romans 8:16: The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

2 Corinthians 4:17: For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

Colossians 3:2: Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Proverbs 10:22: The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Psalms 144:15: Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.

Psalms 146:5: Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:

Job 5:17: Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
