Reasoning With GodIsaiah 1:18: Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
How do we reason with the One who created us, the One who is holy, almighty, all knowing, all wise, all loving and everywhere present? We must reason with Him as created, sinful, weak, ignorant, foolish, needy and extremely limited and inferior beings. We must reason with Him from a position of humility. Any other attitude is unreasonable.James 4:6: But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 1 Peter 5:6: Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Bible examples of humility:Matthew 18:3: And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Luke 18:13: And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
