Ephesians 5:20: Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
1 Thessalonians 5:16: Rejoice evermore.
We are all stuck somewhere between rejoicing evermore and complaining evermore. Believers who are called according to God*s purpose should rejoice always. If they knew and remembered the truth about their blessed condition they would always rejoice and never complain.
Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
If unbelievers knew the truth about their desperate state, they would never rejoice and they would always complain.
Isaiah 48:22: There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.
John 3:36: He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Are you closer to rejoicing all the time or complaining all the time? A believer should be close to rejoicing evermore and seeking to get closer. An unbeliever should be close to complaining all the time and getting closer. The more a believer rejoices, the closer he is to obeying God*s commands, including the one to rejoice evermore. The more an unbeliever complains the more obvious it should be to everyone, including himself, that he should turn around and surrender his heart and life to the Lord.
Heaven will be all about rejoicing. Why not get into God*s calling for you now, rejoice now and make earth more heavenly for yourself and those around you?
Matthew 6:10b: . . . Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.Hell will be full of complaints. Why make earth more like Hell?
