Home Search Topics Contact About | Security of The Believer 1God knew everything about you and everything He would do concerning you before He created the world. He chose and knew the day He would cause you to be born, the day He planned to save you and the day He would end your earthly life. He knew that the day He would save you He would put everlasting life in you. He knew before He created you that you would have a struggle with your fleshly sinful nature. He knew before He created you every sin that you would commit between the day of your birth and the day of your salvation. He knew every sin that you would commit between the day of your salvation and the day of your death. He knew that those sins would not end the everlasting life in you. He knew that the day of your death He would change you into an incorruptible person and take you to heaven. Ephesians 1:4: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Jeremiah 1:5: Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Ecclesiastes 3:1: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2b A time to be born, and a time to die; . . . Isaiah 55:6: Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: (That is a time chosen by Him to make Himself available.) 1 Peter was written to the Elect, the people that God chose. He never changes. He will never reject someone that He has already chosen. 1 Peter 1:1: Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2a Elect according to the foreknowledge of God… 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. We are not kept by our power to avoid sin, we are kept by the power of God.
There is an inheritance reserved in heaven for us. No one can or will successfully steal that inheritance. Isaiah 51:6b: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished. Jude 1: Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: Preserved in Jesus Christ. Now there is a preservative. Romans 11:29: For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. God doesn*t take back His gifts or calling. II Corinthians 4:7: But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. The earthen vessels never devalue the internal and eternal treasure. John 10:27: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 And I give unto them eternal life: and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father*s hand. Try to imagine someone strong enough to loosen God*s grip. Impossible! Try to imagine God the Father giving a gift to God the Son, the Lord Jesus and then taking it away from Him. It won*t happen!! He did not plan to save you from before the foundation of the world, knowing about all the sins you would commit before you were saved and after to dump you now or at any future time. Philippians 1:6: Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Read also Security Of The Believer 2 and 3 |
