Sheep And Christians

Sheep are an example of how dependent believers are upon the Lord. Like us, they go astray easily. Like us, they are totally dependent upon their Shepherd for guidance and everything else. Like us, they don*t always seem to know how totally dependent upon their Shepherd they are. Like us, they don*t always pay enough attention to Him. Like us, they are frightened and confused when they are lost and they are content when in their Shepherd*s care. Sometimes only one of a hundred seems to go astray at a time. Other times they follow one another into trouble. It seems to me that we believers are like lost sheep more often than they are.

John 10:27: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

The more we read and obey the Bible, the less we will go astray. They less attention we give it, the more often we will go astray. I believe that He might also say: My sheep read the Bible.
