The Battle Is The Lords
James 4:7: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Ephesians 6:12: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Have you ever seen Satan or any of his demons? Of course not. How are you going to wrestle with enemies that you cannot see? Only under the guidance of someone who can see them and knows how to defeat them. That would be God. The first and most important thing in this battle is submitting ourselves to Him. Until and unless we submit ourselves to Him, we are unwittingly submitted to the Devil.
Luke 11:23: He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.
Romans 6:16: Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Soon after I became saved I learned that the battle is the Lord*s and we are only the tools and the weapons in His mighty hand. Those are two of the most important and encouraging truths we can learn. I was greatly relieved to know that the battle was not just mine. Before I had felt like the battle was just mine. The battle is not just yours either but you must submit yourself to Him always and over and over. Otherwise you will lose. Faith submits to the Lord and unbelief does not.
1 John 5:4: For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1 Samuel 17:47: And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD*S, and he will give you into our hands.
1 Samuel 14:6: And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.
2 Chronicles 14:11: And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee. 12 So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.
Psalms 44:6: For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. 7 But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.
Hosea 1:7: But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.
Zechariah 4:6: Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
1 Kings 3:7: And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in. 8 And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. 9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
Jeremiah 10:23: O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
Psalms 37:23: The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Galatians 5:16: This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
