We Men All Need God
We will need Him in all of this life and for all of eternity.
Psalms 86:1: Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy. 2 Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. 3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

2 Peter 1:3: According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Novelist Reynolds Price said there is one sentence all humankind craves to hear: *The Maker of all things loves and wants me.* That is the sentence Jesus proclaimed, loud as sweet thunder.
Man is so constituted that he cannot subsist without God.
There is a God-shaped hole in every man*s heart.
Lloyd John Ogilvie:
There are no nostrums for the incurable homesickness for the Father.
Dr. Karl Jung:
The central neurosis of our time is emptiness.
Apart from Jesus Christ we know not what our life is, nor our death, nor God, nor ourselves. Billy Graham: With Jesus Christ, we can know.
Since the relationship between God and man is so close, when faith in God fades, then man*s knowledge of himself is also impossible. Modern man*s dilemma is that he does not know who he is or what significance his life implies.*
God doesn*t need man, man needs God. He is the God who surpasses all obstacles, who does as He pleases and answers to no one. Left on our own, we would have never gone to Him. He came to us for our need, not the other way around.
John 3:19: And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Romans 3:11: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
Galatians 4:8: Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
Ephesians 2:11: Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
Ephesians 4:18: Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Colossians 1:21: And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
2 Corinthians 5:18: And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
