Why Abortion Is Wrong
God loves you. His love is the starting point of everything that is good and right. He created you, owns you, loves you , wants to forgive your sin and take you to paradise. Because He loves you He sent Jesus to die and pay the wages of your sin so that you can go to paradise. That same God who loves you creates the babies, loves them and owns them (Whether you call them babies or fetuses). It is wrong to destroy other people*s property, especially God*s property. Because He loves them He obviously does not want them destroyed. Those who have experienced His love and forgiveness and are on their way to paradise are thankful for those things. They realize that God gave them life and then gave them eternal life. With a few exceptions those who have experienced those things do not want to deprive others of them. Some of those who have not experienced the lives and love provided by God are willing to deprive others of their lives and the love of God too.
There is the argument that abortion is appropriate because it is her body and she can do with it whatever she wants. It is not her body, it is God*s.
John 1:11: He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Those who reject Him reject His ownership of them. But the unchangeable truth is that He still owns them and always owns them.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20: What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God*s.
Those who receive Jesus are doubly God*s property. The wise and joyful ones know that they are His property. They also know that His mercy reaches those that are happy to be His. Those that reject His ownership of them come to a miserable end.
Romans 12:1: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Those who reject His ownership of them and withhold their bodies from Him are unreasonable, especially since He owns them. They are first-cousins of the thieves who steal other people*s property. We ought to do with our bodies what the owner of them wants us to.
