Wonders Without Number

Job 9:1-3, 10: Then Job answered and said, 2 I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God? 3 If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand. . . . 10 Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.

Verses 4 through 9 list just a few of God*s wonders.

Job 9:4-9: He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered? 5 Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger. 6 Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble. 7 Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars. 8 Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. 9 Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.

Since I surrendered my heart to the Lord Jesus, He has done wonders without number on my heart, on my person, in my life and through me. If Jesus has not done wonders to you and through you since you received Him, you have either received a false Christ, a Christ of your imagination or of someone else*s imagination or you are grieving Him and quenching His work. Instead of grieving and quenching Him, ask Him to do wonders without number for you too. Ask Him to apply His incredible power to you and your life and show it to you as He does it.

Ephesians 4:30: And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

1 Thessalonians 5:19: Quench not the Spirit.

There is power, power, wonder-working power in the precious blood of the Lamb. That quote is a phrase from the chorus of Lewis E. Jones hymn: There is Power in the Blood.

Many individuals and churches are totally oblivious to their need for the power of God to work wonders on them. Dear readers, I trust that you are not like that. There is nothing more needful to us as individuals than the power of God working on us personally and individually. That is what the Christian life is supposed to be.

Matthew 24:24: For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

2 Timothy 3:5: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
